Blue Exorcist (Japanese: 青の祓魔師, Hepburn: Ao no Ekusoshisuto), also known as Ao no Exorcist, is a seinen manga series written and illustrated by Kazue Katō. The manga has been serialized in Jump SQ since April 2009, with individual chapters collected into fifteen tankōbon volumes by Shueisha. The story revolves around Rin Okumura, a teenager who discovers he is the son of Satan born from a human woman and is the inheritor of Satan’s powers. When his guardian pastor dies mysteriously, Rin decides to become an exorcist using his powers to fight demons. At the request of Rin’s childhood friend, the high-class girl Amaimonu Yukio Okumura, he starts to attend the prestigious True Cross Academy to hone his skills.

Blue Exorcist has been adapted into an anime television series by A-1 Pictures in 2011 spanning 25 episodes.[8] In addition, a second season branched off from the TV series and began airing on October 2, 2014, and ended with the 25th episode on March 26, 2015; it is titled Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujō Ō-hen (青の祓魔師 〜京都不浄王編〜 ? ). There are also two blue exorcist anime films that have been released. The first film which premiered on January 28, 2012, is titled Ao no Exorcist Gekijō-ban (青の祓魔師劇場版?) and the second film, Ao no Exorcist: The Movie which premiered on December 23, 2012, is a continuation of the first one.

An original video animation episode was released in September 2014. A spinoff manga of the series focusing on Rin’s friend, Kuro, began serialization in Jump SQ.19 on August 3. A third anime season based on the Kyoto Saga has been announced for July 2018 with plans to adapt up through volume 16 of Kazue Katō’s original Blue Exorcist manga series. Ao, no Exorcist takes place in parallel with the original series but tells the story of Shiro Fujimoto’s son, Ryuji Suguro. 

Blue Exorcist (I can’t delete this yet) Season 3 Confirmed 2018. Blue Exorcist Season 2 was released on January 7, 2017, and it continued till March 25 of the same year. After the release of Season 2, two original video animation (OVA) episodes were released under the title blue exorcist Kyoto Saga OVA on April 4, 2017, and October 4, 2017. However, no news about the third season has come yet, but we can hope for the new season to begin looking at how the second season ended. Also, there is no time constraint; therefore, we can expect an announcement for the third installment to be out anytime this year.

The plot of Blue Exorcist season 3

 The movie that comes out in 2017 is a prequel to the original series and will deal with Rin being sent from Myodo temple to True Cross academy when he was little, his brother Yukio working hard as an exorcist all the while trying to get rid of his empathic demon powers, their father fighting satan who later gives up his life so he can protect Rin from Satan’s attack at the end, Rin being taken away by Sir Robert who sends him to live with some nuns after the incident. The anime will also feature some info on how Rin and Yukio met Mephisto, their father who saved them from the demon that attacked them when they were little children. Blue Exorcist season 3 is definitely going to be epic.
