Make Your Maths Foundation Strong: Maths is a subject that deals with numbers and their operations. Students who know how to play with numbers start enjoying maths, while mathematics becomes a daunting subject for others. So, a love for maths should be cultivated among the students from an early stage. Once the students start liking the mathematics subject, building a solid command won’t take much time. They will gain the confidence to solve real-life problems. Also, critical thinking skills will develop in them. Maths is not just a subject that is only restricted to the classroom, and it is crucial while solving our daily problems such as calculating the distance, time, etc. But, students can’t become masters in mathematics unless and until their basics are strong. 1) Understand the concept: Students are taught how to solve the problem, and they should start solving the problem by understanding the concept behind it. Before solving any question, students must know its concept. They must read the theory part of maths and then go for the exercise problems. If they want to explore more about a particular topic, searching the internet is the best idea. It will give them all the necessary details that they are looking for.

2) Enjoy learning maths: Try to think out of the box beyond the curriculum topics. Correlate things with daily life examples. Do some extra fun activities that involve maths. Try to visualise mathematics concepts. Ask yourself why we are solving these problems, their applications etc. It will help find a better solution to the maths problems and understand it effectively.

3) Be curious: Always be interested in learning new things. Don’t allow your curiosity to die inside you. Always ask questions to your teachers if you have any doubt. Don’t be shy or afraid of it. Discuss the topics with your friends.

4) Try different methods of solving a particular question: Just solving the question through one method taught in the class will not help students master mathematics. They must try to figure out other possible ways of solving the same problem. This will increase their aptitude solving skills. 

5) Practice, practice and practice: The best way to master maths is to practise it. Students must solve different types of mathematical problems. They must start with the essential book. Mathematics can’t be mastered in a day or month. It requires continued effort and practice.  It is like learning to play a new game. Students should be well-versed with maths concepts if they want to pursue a career in engineering.
